Marillion on Jimmy Kimmel?

Postby Giloeada » Wed Jun 06, 2012 1:12 pm

From the Marillion eWeb Newsletter:

"...as many of you know, mainstream media don't tend to be in love with Marillion! There is a great chat show in the USA called Jimmy Kimmel Live and they have shown some interest in having us play. A Marillion fan has started a Facebook campaign https://www.facebook.com/GetMarillionOnJimmyKimmelLive to try and get us on the show - we are very flattered by this and appearing on this show would be amazing for us! Even if you don't live in the US, can we ask you a huge favour again and ask you to go and 'like' that Facebook page?
Fan power has worked well for us in the past and perhaps it's something that can work for us again - you never know until you try!
That's all for now and we look forward to seeing at least 10,000 of you out on the road!
Mark, Steve, Ian, Pete and H"

For those of you fortunate enough to be in the Northeast or on the West Coast, hopefully you'll get to see them live. But for those of us down South, this is the only chance. So please 'like' that page if you like Marillion. I know most of you do.

I dont know why i have such a profound connection to the poesis of "early Yes music" Jon Anderson is a true poet, who happened to put IT to music, and I might add very good music of poesis which reaches back to the ancient. This is why Topographic is such a classic profound album, that will not be matched any time soon. This was the era of very experimental prog music. the name prog itself as a separate genre, means experimental and this means reaching, reaching for the poesis.
