how about a show/feature where you concentrate on concept albums? you could like pick a time/day every week and play a progressive concept masterpiece in it's entirety, think of the possiblities you can do scenes from a memory, snow, the wall....anything, i think it would be cool

That actually songs like a neat idea, but it is plausible? I.E. could it go awhile? How many concept albums can you think of? I am obviously not a know all on this topic, I only know three, and they're the three you mentioned. Just what else is out there? Unless you make it like "winter special" or maybe a Christmas present from DA to the listeners ;) Just kidding on that last one :P

Good point, Joe's Garage Acts I-III, You Can't do that on Stage anymore [I think that's what it's called] Acts I-VI, yes like I said I'm not the most expierenced in general concept albums :P. Thanks for reminding me of Zappa :P

"I.E. could it go awhile? "

If you did one a week, probably for years.

Me too. I'd love to be able to tune in once a week or so and hear a concept album.

And hey there, pancake bunny. :)

I suspect for copyright reasons that show might be more difficult to do - they might need to get permission before playing an entire album.

You do raise an interesting point, but I mean isn't each individual song copyrighted anyway, which they still can play?

I'm sure the DJs would know more about this than me, but I think the way it works right now is you're allowed to play individual songs but not entire albums (unless the whole album is 1 song, like Mei by Echolyn). I believe the DA staff get special permission before doing artist spotlights or marathons to get around this. But I'm not an expert on this, so I could be wrong.
