Do you play an instrument?

You love a band that someone else hates. Say why, but please don't insult someone just because they don't share your opinion or tastes.

Have played guitar for 20 years or so. Mess with the keyboard somewhat.

Building a studio in my basement for production.

Will enjoy posting things here.

I play guitar, but am basically an adult beginner. It's safe to say that virtually all the musicians in the bands we love are far better trained than I'll ever be, but what the heck. If anyone has any tips for someone who has currently about 1-2 hours a day (max) to devote to learning music and loves the bands played here on DA I'm open to suggestions (other than "give it up" that is.)

P.S. This forum is a great step. I'm looking forward to some interesting discussions.

Piano from before I was 2 until about 18, then mom sold the baby grand and got an organ. Forget that! Older sister went to the Conservatory of Music, Kansas City, at 15 as a sophomore. Seen Van Cliburn play, but didn't do any competition. I could play anything she could, just not in front of anyone, no way, no how, I stopped recitals before I was 14, teach stopped teaching me then. Meaniehead.

I haven't played in years, so, I'm just basically frustrated. Don't worry, it's a good thing.

I play guitar. I'll be picking a sitar up ere too long, and I know enough keyboard to lay down some backup for myself (now if I only had one). I'm basically about $300-500 away from turning my computer into a small recording setup so I can fail out of college for spending too much time on it instead of homework.

Piano\Keyboards 10 years, Bass 4 years, Drums 2 years....I'd like to practice also on guitar, but with these instruments I can play in alot of little bands and I have much fun!!!

Always the same story: a lot of one for the other instruments.... :!: :D

I have been playing the piano since the age of three.
My main subjects at the music academy were vocal, music drama, piano and some other stuff. I am working as an organist nowadays and I'm the keyboard player in the new progressive band called Life On Hold.

Watch me:

Listen to the band:
