Favourite Album Covers

Let's get some cool album covers on the go - the kind that you can stare at for hours while the music plays. I'll start with the cover that I have probably looked at more than any other: Dream Theater's Awake. There is just so much going on on this cover, and I love the way it has references to so many of the songs on the album. If I had to pick a favourite cover of all time, this would be near or at the very top of the list.

Cool topic. I really love cover artwork and have to say that you find a lot of very cool covers in prog.

Lets start with my favorites:

(That's Rush's Moving Pictures, in case someone isn't familiar with it)

Also, the back cover:

The back of Train of Thought is just awesome (and am I the only one who thinks "falling into infinity" when I see it?):

Marillion's Misplaced Childhood (this is really cool as a gatefold):

Wow, that is a cool cover. It reminds me of some Yes covers. Speaking of which:

Here's one that I don't have, but I think it looks absolutely incredible:

Here's another one. You have to see the original Cover to see how cool it actually is...It's 3 dimensional and really funny, unfortunately you can't see it on this picture...

Gentle Giant - In a Glass House

Guru Guru - Känguru
This one is so funny, just read the bubbles. I think one can imagine that Känguru means kangaroo :D

I've always liked this one. The artwork other than the front cover is also excellent.
