Press Release January 14, 2005 – CalProg

Well when it rains it pours! Here’s a second CalProg announcement in as many days.

CalProg is pleased to announce that the Minneapolis based progressive rock band Bubblemath has been added to the bill for CalProg '05. This band is quirky, frenetic, and completely original. The musicianship is over-the-top impressive and their songs, while often controversial / whimsical in nature are intelligent and witty. If I had to categorize them I'd say they were a cross between Gentle Giant, Frank Zappa and Devo, with a hint of Richard Cheese (the lounge singer!) thrown in. If you haven’t heard these guys you really must check out their CD "Such Fine Particles of the Universe". To get a taste of just how creative they are check out their most unusual website at .

So for those of you keeping score the lineup on the main stage is now:

The Flower Kings

Kind of makes you want to head for sunny southern California this summer doesn’t it???

CalProg – June 4, 2005:

"Papa" Jim Harrel
